The work which the department is doing now for the museum includes the mannfact uring of 50 tables, from j fou' to eight feet long, 450 small special drawers, and pipe frame con- struction for the storage cells. They are also installing electric lights on the pipe frames, and are putting in soapstone sinks with the necessary plumbing and equipment, including paneled woodwork on both ends. Aside from this work the depart- ments is also doing quite a few jobs around the campus, most of which will be completed during Christmas va- cation. They are constructing a stability dynanometer for the aero- nautical department, an instrument to measure the stability of a plane. For the engineering department a sectional house will be built to house instru- ments for tests being made on high power transmission lines. A Westing- house electric dynanometer to mea- sure the torque of engines under test is being installed in the automobile laboratory.
