0 PAGM TWO THE MICHIGAN DAILY TIUs AY, rMmR1 i5 1927 ADVISE CO-OPERATiON WITH YOUTH OF TODAY "The solution of the youth problem is sane and sensible co-operation, not dictation, by adults," was the conclu- sion of a resolution adopted recently at a gathering of representatives of the Interdenominational Young Peo- ple's commission representing more than 10,000,000 young men and women in every Protestant denomination of the country. Declaring that the present lay faults of youth can be ascribed largely to adult indifference or misguided at- tempts at leadership, the commission stated nevertheless that "There is more poyential constructive leader- ship 'among the young people them- selves today, we believe, than before and educational, health, moral, and Christian standards have all been raised." "Pompous and salacious movies have a bad efect on the younger gen-I eration, maintained Rev. Walter Geody of Philadelphia who was chair- man of the gathering. "Extravagant display of wealth portrayed in many movies," he continued, "often creates dissatisfaction among younger people as to their own living conditions, and sometimes they go wrong in an efforta to attain such high living standards,"q LEADER OF FIGHT TO SEAT VARE MEETS PROTEGE BEFORE CHAMBER Brown Talks Before Detroit Association' Prof. Everett S.
