Eight different schools are represented on his first selection, Notre Dame, Yale, and Pittsburgh each placing three men on this team. The Middle West, with five selec- tions leads the various sections of the country in this respect, four are from the East, and one each from the South and the Pacific coast. The East pre- dominates on the second team with seven places, the Middle West is given, three, and the Pacific coast one. Oosterbaan Is Chosen. Captain Benny Oosterbaan of Michi- gan was placedl at left end by Evans on his first team, while two other Wolverines, Baer and Gilbert are also cited for their excellent work during the past season. Baer is placed at right guard on the second eleven,' while Gilbert is named right half on the third team. The first team selected by Billy Evans differs from that of Grantland Rice in several marked respects. Evans selects Kern of Pittsburgh for one tackle position, while Rice names Smith of Pennsylvania. Rice also placed Crane of Illinois at one of the guards, while Evans does not give him a place on any of his three teams. Rice's choice of Nash of Georgia in- stead of Shiver his teammate as the end opposite Oosterbaan is the only other difference in the two lines. Rice places Cagle of Army, while Evans names Flanagan of Notre Dame, at the left halfback post. Shiver Paired With Wolverine. On his first team Evans places Oos- terbaan of Michigan and Shiver of Georgia at the ends, Kern of Pitts- burgh and Raskowski of Ohio State at the tackles, Webster of Yale and Smith of Notre Dame at the guards, and Charlesworth of Yale at center. Drury of Southern California is chosen as quarterback, Welch of Pittsburgh and Flanagan of Notre Dame at the halves, and Joesting of Minnesota at full- back. Evans' second eleven is made up of Scott of Yale and Born of Army atf the ends, Hibbs of Southern California and Perry of Army at the tackles, Hanson of Minnesota and Baer of Michigan at the guards and Betten- court at quarter, Presnell of Nebras- ka and Marsters of Dartmouth at the halves and Miles of Princeton at full. st(Continued from Page Six.) rota at center and failing even to mention Charlesworth of Yale, Costello came as close to creating a sensation as one possibly could. McMullen of Nebraska, guard and Sprague, tackle on the Times first team were not given such po- sitions on any other team we have seen. Hibbs at tackle is a more popular choice as is Webster, Yale captain, Oosterbaan and Nash are popular end choices at end, corresponding with those of Rice. Oosterbaan was also named by Billy' Evans but Shiver displaces Nash at the other flank.
