Rice says admittedly that his selec- tion of Drury, University of Southern California flash as quarterback, will meet with much censure, but says that Drury was one of the best ball car- riers this year, and his ability war- rants a place on the mythical team. Connor, New York university, Spears, Vanderbilt, and Hunt, Texas Aggies, were named as other outstanding quarterbacks this season. The halfback positions, Rice avers, happen to be the storm center of the harrowing debate, and to select the two men for the eleven presents one of the most intricate tangles of the entire selection. Cagle, Army, and Welch, Pittsburgh, were named on the great fullback, are rated second and third in the list of fullbacks.
