The whole series is ideally balanced, not only as to variety of concerts but also as to new and old friends of Ann Arbor audiences. The organizations appearing in the Extra Concert Series for 1927-1928 are supreme among similar groups. All offer inspiring programs, each number of which is worked out with the finesse and delicate skill that distinguishes the great conductor. There is no overlapping in the series. Each concert presents an entire change in personnel, providing interesting' contrasts from the concert preceding. It is a series which can only be referred to in the superlative.
