Professor P. W. Slosson will lecture on "The Outlawry of War" Thurs-

William L. Diener, '26, was operated
on at the University hospital Monday
day as the result of a leg injury re-
ceived several years ago in freshman
football practice here. Diener, who is
employed in the offices of the P. W.
Chapman company of New York, will
be confined to the hospital for about
two weeks.
TROW TO RELATE
HIS OBSERVATIONS
Relating their observations as un-
official observers, Professors William
C. Trow and Howard Y. McClusky of
the School of Education will give an
account of; the Wittenberg Sympo-
sium of Feelings and Emotions held
last week at Wittenberg College,
Springfield, Ohio.
The addresses will be given before
an open meeting of the Men's Edu-
cation club at 7 o'clock next Monday
in 302. Union. All men interested are
invited to attend.

Dwight W. Morrom, new Unite d States Ambassador to Mexico, is
shown in conference with Cecretary o f State Frank B. Kellogg in Washing-
ton.


The Midsemester Examination will occur Wednesday, November 9, at 4
o clock. Those having other classes at this hour should arrange at once for a
special which will be given earlier than the time announced.-

ply was discussed Tuesday night in a,
program -sponsored by the local
branch of xthe League of Women
Voters. The meeting was held in Pat-c
tengill auditorium, and was addressed#
by Donald S. Breisch, '30P, George J.i
Burke, an Ann Arbor lawyer, andl

Robert Norris, a member of the board
of water commissioners.
Breisch explained matters regard-
ing the chemical analysis of water.
The meeting was in preparation for
the special election in November,
which has a proposal to bond the city
for $500,000 to finance the erection
of a new reservoir, the development
of an artesian source of water supply
to supplement the present system, and
the construction of several new trunk
line mains.
