Neither team has been defeated in the con- ference race this year and this alone will serve to spur both elevens to- the utmost. While Ndrthwestern fans are' jubi- lant over the success of their team. In the Ohio engagement, they fully realize the strength whi9h Coach Zuppke and his Illini will bring to Evanston. Coach Hanley has the ut- most respect for the football genius of the famous Illini mentor and for that reason has been impressing upon his men the need of getting down to business in preparation for the game. Illinois, benefitingb from a long list of. victories over the Purple, will have tradition in its favor Saturday. The Illini is also expected to be keyed highly for the game as a result of the close scare they received from Ames last Saturday. On the other hand, Coach Hanley has found diffi- culty in getting his men to take the game with the right amount of seri- ousness. Probable Lineup i Coach Jack Wilce, veeran Buckeye grid mentor, will send a team on the field in the Wolverine bowl this after- noon that will boast a noticeable edge over the cohorts of Tad Wieman both in respect to weight and experience. A survey of the Ohio State organiza- tion indicates that the invaders will out-weigh the Wolverines, man to man, both in thevbackfieldsand on the line, with the advantage being consid- erably greater with respect to tle backfield. The Scarlet and Grey backfield will average 171 pounds, while the start- ing combination for Michigan falls seven pounds per man below this av- erage, the Wolverine pony backs av- eraging only 164 pounds. The weight advantage of the Buck- eye forward wall, however, is notice- ably less than that of the backfield. The Wilce coached line tips the scales for an average of 186 pounds, while the Wolverines three pounds less per man. Leo Raskowski, star tackle of the Ohio team, is the heaviest player in either starting lineup, weighing 212 pounds. The Wilcemen will also have an edge on the Maize and Blue team in experience, nearly every one of the starting players being veterans of one or two years experience. The possible exceptions lie in the Buckeye back- field, if Wilce starts Marek, Grim, Eby and Cory, the latter is the only man playing his first year of Conference football. The invader's forward wall is large- ly composed of two year veterans as Captain Meyer, Robin Bell, Jack Ull- ery, Leo Uridel, and Bob Rowan are all two letter men, while Raskowski and Young have each played one sea- son.. west side of the bowl.
