The following houses will participate: Heleji Newberry, Betsy Barbour, Kappa Kappa Gamma, Kappa Delta, Kappa Alpha Theta, Delta Delta Delta, Alpha Gamma Delta, Alpha Chi Omega, Sigma Kappa, Phi Sigma Sig- ma. This group, comprising about 400 people, is large enough, according to those who are organizing the project, for the first year of trial., Final arrangements are being made1 at once for n'ext year. The dietitian- buyer has not yet been appointed byl President Clarence Cook Little, but her selection will undoubtedly be an- nounced in a few weeks. The duties of this expert will include not only buy- ing the foal, but 'also supervising the kitchens of the various groups, hiring the help necessary in the kitchens and dining-rooms, and meal-planning. A very material saving will be possible by this method, since the food will be bought in large quffantities and at wholesale prices. The members of the groups are now being asked to sign contracts guaranteeing a certain per- centage of the dietitian-buyer's sal- ary. A supervisory committee of three members has been appointed by Pres. Little, which will have the power to veto in respect to any agreement be- tween the dietitian and the cooperat-. ing ;groups. This committee will thus insure satisfaction for all who are taking part in the arrangement by act- ing as an intermediary between the University and the dietitian-buyer. and passed on by Dr. Margaret Bell{ and Miss Ethel McCormack for the pl Ccasl education department.
