rangements, Prof. William H. Hlobbs
of the geology department, wvill leave
Ann Arbor Sunday for New York
where final preparations are being
made for the loading of equipment to
be taken on the second University of
Michigan Expedition to. Greenland this
summer. Accompanying Professor
Hobbs is C. 0. Erlanson of the bot-
an~y department. The two will sail for
Copenhagen, Tuesday, where further
c onnections will be made for the trip
to folstenborg.
The other men in the personnel
of the expedition, which Includes
R. L. Belknap of the geology depart-
ment, S. P. Fer.gutsoqn of the Weather
B~ureau, J. E.' Church, Jr., meteorolo-
gist, 'C. R. KEC11quist, aerologist, Fred
Herz~, photographer, aiid P. C.' os-'
cauiyan, Jr., radio operator, will leave
New York on MN~ay 18, sailing to Bre-
men, and from there will. join Dr.
Hobbs at Copenhagen.
According to present plans, Profes-
sor Hobbs will speak on May 23 be-
fore the Royal Geograp~hical Society
of Lfondon on "The Greenland Expedi-
tion Projects of the University of
Michigan," and will later give an-
other address in Copenhagen. The
complete party will leave Copenhagen

the preparatory scientific observa-
