Miss Belcher is the fourth university woman to lead the Miss Belcher has been prominent in campus activities. Last year she was in the Sopohomore circus and this year she is the leading lady in the ' Junior Girls' play, the dramatic ven- ture exclusively for the girls of junior standing. Miss Belcher graduated from the Manistee High school in 1924 and entered the University in the fall of that year. Tom Winter has also been active in campus affairs. For two years he was on the staff of The Daily. He was chairman of the freshman social com- mittee of the class of '28 and was in the choruses of the last two operas, Tambourine" and "Front Page Stuff." This year he holds the position of publicity director of the Union and is F on the Union executive committee. . Winter is a member of Sphinx, junior honorary society. Me received his preparatory work for college at Central high in Grand Rapids, after Thomas Winter, '28 leaving Greenville, his former home.
