SOUAD STILL UNNAMED _ rI\k Primed for the fourth Conference game, a battle with Indiana sc hedul- \: . ed for tomorrow night at Blooming-- ton, Coach Mather and his Wolverines basketball team will depart at 94 o'clock tonight over the Michigan Cen- tral railroad The Skipper declined to name the men who will make the trip, after the practice session last night. Six men, Capt. Chambers, Harrigan, Ooster- baan, Mcdoy, Petrie, and Molenda are certain to be among the nine selected, while three more will be chosen from the group composed of Rasnick, Gawne, Martin, Barley, Reason, and Schroeder. The selections will be announced early this afternoon. Wolverine Lineup Unchanged With first place standing in the Big Ten race dependent on the outcome of the fray tomorrow, the coach has pushed his team to the limit in an attempt to develbp the combination so that it, will work as smoothly as it did against Iowa last week. Unless the team is at top form for the battle, the Hoosiers will have little difficulty in winning, according to present indi- cations. Michigan will line up with the same team that has opened its previous Con- ference games. Capt Chambers and Oosterbaan, wil. be at the forwards,, McCoy at center, and Harrigan and Petrie at the guards. Indiana is ex- pected to start the same team that has worked so successfully in all its games. Capt, Kruger and Beckner, forwards, Sibley, center, and Winston and Correll, guards, make up the fivel that will start against the Wolverines. "We expect one of the hardest games a Michigan basketball team has ever had," said Coach Mather, commenting on the prospects of the game. "Indiana is a little better of- fensively than we are, but Michigan has shown 'better defensive form inI most of its games.1 Indiana mats Floor Advantage I "In addition to this, the HoosiersI have a veteran team. Beckner and Kruger are a fine pair of floor men, the former exceptionally fast, and the, latter an excellent shot. Sibley, cen- ter, has shown up well in the combina- tion, and is a very steady player. Winston, towering above all the other players in height, and standing much taller than any Michigan man, has proved a bulwark on the defense, es- pecially in breaking up backboard plays. Correll, though handicapped by size, is also a good guard.f "On the whole, the outfit is excep- tionally strong, perhaps more power- ful than any of the other Conference teams, and we will have to be at the height of form to win the game. Con- ceding that the teams are almost equal, it must be remembered that] most critics grant a team a 10 point advantage when playing on its home floor, and this, added to the fact thati Kruger, Beckner, Sibley, and Correll are excellent shots, and have tremen- dous floor speed, while Winston is a remarkable back guard, will make it a tough fight." Despite 'the fact that Michigan willC line up with the same five, the Skip-t 'per will probably shift the men if the opening combination proves weak. Molenda is almost certain to see ser- vice early in the game. m BRITISH CHAMPION Cummins, Flashy Purdue Sophomore, Tops FLYWEIGHT, MEETS Western Conference Basketball Scoring LA BARBA TONIGHT ____ ri (By Associated Press) Sensational scoring by Wilbur and Daugherity, Ilinois, with 13, and N,'\\ YORK, Jan. 20. -A wee .fht- C(unnins, Purdue's sophomore center, Oosterbaan, Michigan, with 12 for a i man from 'eaotirdil a. ek, against the Minnesota quintet wnen total of 26 points.
