Emerich, addressing a meeting of the Cosmopolitan club Sun- /day night in Lane Hall, stated that the only way in which to achieve world peace is to promote an u4iderstanding in the hearts of the people of all countries for the people of other countries. The subject on which she, talked was "Current Progress Toward World Peace." Mrs. Emerich returned three years ago after.16 years in the Near East where she acted as a missionary. She led the international forum held last sumimer and is an authority on world problems. She has made an extensive study of conditions in Turkey and all parts of the#Near East. The meeting of -the club was the last before Christmas vacation and was held after a supper in Lane hall.
