.Students, College of Lecture, Science and the Arts:
Permission to drop courses without E grade may not be given after
Thanksgiving Day. The fact that examinations are given in certain courses
after this date does not affect the operation of this rule. Exceptions will
be made only in cases of extended illness, or because of similarly serious
conditions not under the student's control.

Dr. Howard T. Barnes, Professor of Physics at McGill University,
Montreal, will give an illustrated lecture on "Ice Engineering" at the
Science auditorium, Tuesday afternoon,'November 23, at 4:15 o'clock. This
lecture is given under the auspices of the Engineering Council. All are
invited.

Public Lecture:
Dr. G. G. Atkins, pastor of the First Congregational church, Detroit,
will give a series of lectures on "Changing Phases of the Christian Ideal."
The first of these, "The Prophetic Approach to Christianity, and Christian-
ity as a Messianic Hope" will be delivered on Tuesday, November 23, at 4:15
p. m. in'Room C, Law building. The lectures are under the auspices of the
Michigan School of Religion. The public is cordially invited.

library to Dartmouth college last
spring. The gift was announced as
anonymous.
MANY ENROLL IN
EXTENSION WORK
With the addition of a class in
"Psychology of Management" organ-
ized at Saginaw, enrollment in the
University courses offered in Mich-
igan cities by the University Exten-
sion division has been increased to
840 students. About 16 more are ex-
pected to be added to the total en-
rollment by the newest class at its
next meeting. With the exception of
a few students who may possibly be
added through the Graduate school,
no further increases are expected.
Prof. Adelbert Ford of the psychol-
ogy department is in charge of the
course at Saginaw. The initial meet-
ing was held last Friday night. The
class is especially intended for busi-
nessgexecutives.

discussion at the periodical dinner
meeting of the Washtenaw county
medical association to be held Novem-

read by Dr. J. B. Jackson of Kala-
mazoo and discussions carried out by
