This was first delivered at the annual meeting of the American Society for Steel Treating, September, 1926, as the E. D. Campbell Memorial Lecture. Dr. WGild began with an explanation of the word which is derived from the Greek and means godl wisdom or di- vine wisdomn. lie statedl that it is the truth in everything that concerns the- osophy. In a secondary and applied meaning it is concerned with the bodyI of truth underlying all religions. He went on to explain tha.t there is found in all religions similar symbols and ceremonies. This, the scientists explain by evolution. Dr. Wild said that the new theoso- phy was presented to a world (lazed ly the discovery of natural laws and that thie people had handed over their souls to the materialistic scientist. Hie concluded his talk stating that all who accep~t the fast of universal brother- hood are 'elgilcl for membership in thec society, regardless of creed.
