More than 100 foreign delegates to this meeting, and to the second inter- national foundrymen's congress which is being held in conjunction with the 'association's gathering, have arrived in Detroit. Belgium, France, Ger- many, Great Britain, Italy, Spain, and Switzerland are among the coun- tries represented at the congress. C. E. Hoyt, executive secretary of the association, has written Dean M. E. Cooley of the engineering school offering free admission to the conven- tion for all University students and for the engineering faculty. Students interested in plant visitation trips to the convention should communicate immediately with Prof. . W. Boston, superintendent of shops, who has' charge of arrangements.I Technical programs, and a complete foundry exhibit, with many exhibition plants in full operation, will occupy all avaiable space in the agricultural building, the coliseum, and the dairy barn at the state fair grounds, a total floor space of nearly 100000 square feet. The exhibition halls will be open every morning and afternoon from 8:30 to 5:30 P. M. until Friday. Professor Woodburne who comes to Michigan from Madras, is well known for his works on religion and has taughti in the Christian college at Ma- dras," which is one of the largest schools in India, for a larger part of the last twenty years.
