And Wme's League to Act As Hostesses * W OST T 1 0 DELEGATES Opening with a series of confer- ences to be held this afternoon, the state convention of the Federation of Women's clubs, will offer a four-day session .of interesting conferences, round table discussions, and daily le- tures by widely reknowned speakers for anyone interested The convention has been brought to Ann Arbor under the auspices of the Ann Arbor Women's club, the Ameri- can A ssociation of University women and the Women's league. The three groups are co-operating as hostesses to the delgates Who are attending from al over the state. More than 1,000 women, including guests, speakS ers and committeewomen are expected to attend the convention, exceeding all previous attendance figures for the s rsion ofityeareytmeetings. Or- ganizations of this sort already exist in many other cities, and it is hoped that there will be an enthusiastic re- sponse to the letters of invitation which have been sent out by the de- partment of physical education for women. Practices and games are scheduled for Saturday noon at Palmer field. Luncheon will be -served in the 'field house immediately after playing. It has been decided to hold the first meet- ing at 12 o'clock on Saturday and on that date the officers of the Ann Ar- bor Hockey club will be elected. "Expressing Willie" To Benefit League Coming as the second of a series of dramatic and musical programs which the Alumnae council is spon- soring for the benefit of the Women's league, "Expressing Willie" by Rachel Crothers will be presented by the Rockford Players Oct. 26 and 27 at Mimes theater. The Rockford Players are better known in Ann Arbor as the Michigan Players as the personnel of the company is nearly the same as that of the summer stock company which appeared twice weekly during the Summer session.
