To the Faculty and Student, Colege of Engineering: On Monday, October 18, at 3:15 p. in., the Ingersoll-Rand Company in- vites the faculty and students of this College to the Michigan Central Sta- tion to inspect the new Oil-Electric Locomotive, perfected by that company in cooperation with the General Electric Company and the American Lo- comotive Company. This Oil-Electric Locomotive is one in which an internal combustion engine, using low cost fuel oil, drives an electric generator which furnishes power to motors geared to the driving wheels.
