He said that losses, increased by carelessness and crime, are so great that the fire insurance business has shown no profit for five years. Speakingvbeforesthe 31st annual convention of the National Association of Credit Men, Mr. Kurth pictured the "chaotic situation" he said would de- velop. if all insurance protection were1 suddenly withdrawn. In past years many seniors either neglect their payments en- tirely after they have left the University or postpone them s,' long that the interest has in- creased the amount due consid- erably, Chamberlain stated. - Life memberships may also be taken out now by seniors for $50, or payments started on same for a correspondingly higher total depending upon the plan adopted. Memberships are $100, one year following graduation. WE HAVE a summer opening for U. of M. men and women living in the smaller Michigan communities. The position we can offer you is not only profitable but intensely interesting, irrespective of what college course you are taking. This work will give you experience that will aid you in your college work next year. ! Please answer in your own hand writing, telling where you live and what University course you are tak- ing.
