A TUESDAY, FE$RUARY 9, 1926 THE MICHIGAN DAILY r ) MVAa M =A-vA (! ALUMNI STAFF TO BE REORGANIZED yrsIW. D: Henderson To Assume Dut- ies Of Executive Secretary After Feb. 23 TO RELIEVE DEAN Change in the Organization of the Alumnae office will be made Feb. 23 r when Miss Jean Hamilton, dean of -women, will give over all responsi- bility connected with the League building campaign to Mrs. W. D. Hen-{ derson, newly appointed executive secretary. The reorganization, according to S Mrs. Shirley W. Smith,' head of the Alumnae council, comes at the re- quest of President Clarence Cook Lit- tle who believed -the duties of the dean of women were now too exacting to allow her to continue with the lea- gue work. Miss Hamilton was placed temporarily in charge of the alumnae campaign for the League building dur- ing the administration of the late Pres- ident Marion L. Burton. "When the appointment was made," stated Mrs. Smith, "it was not expected to be t, permanent." The entire staff of the alumnae office will be changed at the end of the month. Miss Mary B. Jen- kins, who was executive secretary this year, will resign and Mrs. Henderson will appoint her own staff of assist- ants. Since Mrs. Henderson is giving part time service as assistant direc- tor of the extension office she could T accept work for the campaign only for half time until June. In the fall she will give her entire time to league work. Miss Hamilton will remain in the offipce until Feb. 23 to complete unfinished business and Mrs. Hender- son will assume charge on Feb. 24. Miss Hamilton will move her office from Alumni Memorial hall to Barbour gymnasium where she will resume full charge of her duties as dean of wom- en, partly fulfilled by. Mrs. A. S. Ho- bart during Miss Hamilton's work on the alumnae council. No change in the assistants of the office of the dean of women will be made according to Miss Hamilton.
