Although admitting that the honor system of examinations has met with some success. at the University of Virginia, Prof. C. 11. Cooley of the sociology department, yesterday, said ,th'at it has not met "anywhere near as much success" at the hundreds of other institutions where it has been tried. Prof. Cooley stated that "the actual state of feeling in most colleges is that students are honest in examina- tions."
