senatorial election in Massachusetts
state that President Coolidge is tak-
ing considerable interest in the con-
test since one of the candidates,
IWilliam M. Butler, is a close friend
of the President and the man he
chose to be 'chairman of the Repub-
lican national committee. Observers
say that the race will be a close one.
CHICAGO.- Wilson and company,
packers, was sold yesterday to the re-
organization committee for $23,150,000,
and the reorganization plan which has
been in the making since the receiv-
ership in 1924. will be put into ef-
