SOCIETIES WILL I Children Will Be Guests At Sorority And Fraternity Houses This Week Heads Air Force WILL .ECEIVE CLOTHES In response to letters sent out from the Family Welfare bureau, 41 fra- ternities and 34 sororities have agreed to entertain poor children at dinner and to supply them with some articles of wearing apparel, according to Mrs. L. H. Boynton, director of the wel- fare work. The fraternities will en- tertain r53boys and the sororities will take care of 43 girls and 5 small boys. The Welfare bureau has thoroughly investigated each of the cases and has chosen only those children who are most in need of assistance. The work of the bureau has shown that there is no absolute squalor in Ann Arbor. The children chosen by the bureau come from homes of laboring men whose income will not permit any holiday celebration for their large! families. Bast year .more than 100 children ere given Christmas dinners and a few articles of clothing, and the bur-, eau hoes that the response will be even greater this year. Any fraternity or sorority which has neglected to, notify Mrs. Boynton of its intention to entertain one or more children is. usged to do so immediately. Zoologist Visits Department Here Prof. H. D.
