Heads of Departments, College of Literature, Science, and the Arts:
Letters have been sent out by campus mail to the heads of departments
of the College of Literature, Science, and the Arts, requesting that changes
or additions in the 1925-26 Announcement be sent to the office of the Regis-
trar on or before December 30, for the supplementary announcpment to be
issued immediately after January 1. As it is plannedocondu,et rpgistration
before the period of final examinations, it is necessary that this supllofent
be ready for use at that time. The co-operation of all department heads is
asked in submitting the required alterations prdmp'tly.

Special Lectures in Forestry:
A number of special lectures in Forestry have been planned for the next
few months. Some of the speakers who have promised to come are Profes-
sor H. H. Chapman, of the School of Forestry of Yale University; Dr. S. T.
Dana, Director of the Northeastern Forest Experiment Station at Amherst,
Mass.; and Clyde B. Leavitt, Michigan A. B. '01; M. S. Forestry '04, Chief
iForester of the Dominion Conservation Commission, Ottawa, Canada.
The first lecture is to be given on Tuesday afternoon, December 15th, at
4:15, in the auditorium of the Natural Science Building, by Professor Chap-
man of Yale. Professor Chapman's topic will be "The Necessity of a Pro-
fession of Forestry in America."

L'niversity Womncn-Women's League:
The third Vocational Guidance Conference will be held on Iednesday,
Dec. 9th, at 4:15.P. M., in Room 408, Main Library. Miss Suzanne Copland,
Head of the Application Bureau of the Community Union of Detroit, will
address the meeting on the subject-"Requirements and opportunities of the
social service worker." Women of all classes are invited to attend.

Executive Board, Graduate School:
There will be a meeting of the Executive Board of the Graduate School
at 4:00 o'clock Friday afternoon, December 9, 1925,

Books and Periodicals for Mount Pleasant Normal School:
The Library of the Mount Pleasant Normal School was entirely destroy-
ed by fire on Monday. The University Library is forwarding a number of
volumes from its duplicates to the Mount Pleasant Normal School. If mem-
ber's of the faculty and others have journals, particularly in the field of
education, and books which they wish to give to aid in re-establishing this
Library, they may bring them to the Order Department of the General
Library for forwarding to Mount Pleasant. The University truck will call
for consignments too large to be brought individually to the Library.

Ann Arbor Art Association:
The exhibition of the work of Ann Arbor artists and amateurs will'be
held in Memorial Hall, afternoons, 1:30 to 5:00.
Mr. Jean Paul Slusser, Instructor in Drawing and Painting, will give a
gallery talk, Wednesday, December 9th, at 7:30 P. M.

Foreign Students:
All foreign students wishing to take advantage of the Christmas holiday
hospitality should see me at once if they have not already done so. Homes
In Lansing, Kalamazoo, and Grand Rapids are available for a three or four
day visit at Christmas. Friday of this week is the' last day names can be
taken. Office hours, 9-12 on Wednesday, 2-5 on Thursday, 9-12 on Friday,

Freshlman Hygiene Lecture:
The fifth freshmen lecture in Hygiene for men will be given in Water-
man Gymnasium, Thursday and Friday, December 10th and 11th, at 3, 4
and 5 P. M This requirement includes all freshmen in the regular physical
training classes and others that have been excused from these classes.

Midsemester reports may now by seen at the Office, Room 207, West
Engineering Building. The names of students whose 'reports have been re-
ceived and with whom an early conference is necessary are postedon the

Freshman Engineers:
Professor W. D. Henderson will address the Freshman Assembly in
Room 348 at 11 'o'clock this morning.
Second mentor reports will be filled out this morning. Any freshman
who cannot be present this morning should call at my office immediately
and fill these out. All those who have not called for their first reports
ahould do so at once.
