NEW YORK, Nov. 27. - Jackson
Stith and John P. Rowe, delegates
 of the University of Michigan to the
annual conference of the National In-
terfraternity council, arrived here
yesterday.
NEW YORK, Nov. 27.-The Inter-
fraternity conference, to which dele-
gates from all the leading fraternities'
at American colleges and universities
come annually to discuss educational'
problems, will open at the Hotel
Pennsylvania atnoon today. A two-
day session, covering a score of sub-
jects important alike to educators,
undergraduates and alumni, will be
discussed.
More than 200 delegates, represent-
ing more than 60 fraternities and
ore than 100 colleges and univer-
ities in the United States and Canada,
rrived yesterday and this morning.
Meeting with them will be 15 promi-
nent educators, headed by Dean
Thomas Arkle Clark of the University
of Illinois, and more than 50 under-
graduates from as far off as the Pa-
cific coast.
Among the more important subjects'
to be discussed will be the questions
of student health and social hygiene,
fraternity ideals, scholarship, ethics,
and fraternity extension. Outstand-1
ing addresses will be made by Dr.1
George E. Vincent, president of the
Rockefeller foundation, and Dr. Fran-i
cis W. Shepardson, former commis-l
sioner of education of the state of
Illinois.

Report Optimistic
BUCH-AREST.- In presenting the
1926 budget for ratification by Parlia-
ment, the finance minister, Vintila
Bratiano, asserted that Rumania's fi-
nancial equilibrum was definitely es-I
tablished and that the government
was ready to negotiate foreign loans
for the economic development of the
country.
Twelve museums of England,
France, Switzerland and Algeria will
be visited. The field work will be'
conducted in France and Algeria.

Beloit 'Sp*onsors
Archeology Study
BELOIT, Wis., Nov. 27.-Beloit Col-
lege will sponsor a school next sum-
mer for the training of students in
museum and field work in archaeol-
ogy.
The school will consist of nine
weeks of travel and study and will
be known as the Logan Museum
School of Prehistoric Archaeology. It
is intended to train students in the
best methods of museum work and
display and in the excavating and
treatment of specimens.
