The squad will arrive early this morning in Chicago and will go at once to the Cooper-Carleton hotel which will serve as its quarters until tomorrow night. Coach Yost announced yesterday that Bill Herrnstein who played a spectacular game against the Navy last week, will replace Bruce Gre- gory at the left halfback position, as Gregory is not in shape to play. Other rumored changes in the backfield will not take place, according to the Wol- verine mentor. "13o" Molenda, Louis Gilbert and Benny Friedman will take theirtregu- lar places unless last minute changes are made. A change will also be made in the line, with Gabel displacing Sid Dewey at guard, Jack Lovette switching to left guard and Gabel taking Lovette's place at right guard. George Bab- cock and Harry Hawkins will take their regular places at tackle, and Flora and Oosterbaan will handle the flanks. Tom Edwards wil not be used in the contest. A light kicking and passing drill will be held at Soldier's field this afternoon, with a short signal drill closing the final workout before the contest tomorrow.J The Wolverines are entering the fray tomorrow expecting a hard bat- tle, as the latest reports state that Ralph "Moon" Baker, the Purple back- field lpminary, will take his regular place on the field. No over-confi- dence is being felt by the Michigan eleven, despite its brilliant victories to date. PHI SIGMA DELTA WINS OVER ALP1SIMAPHI Phi Sigma Delta defeated Alpha Sigma Phi by a 7-3 score in the semi- final round of the inter-fraternity speedball tournament played yester- day. The winners were off to a fast start when a pass, Wilkoff to Mayer, ws completed for a two point score. A minute later Goldhammer added a point on a drop kick. Alpha Sigma Phi closed the scoring for the quar- ter when Conlon made a short drop kick. During the early part of the third quarter the ball was kept in the win- ner's territory but close guarding pre- vented a score. A pass Hitzig to Mayer gave Sigma Delta at 5-1 lead a the half ended. The remaining part of the game was featured by the close guarding of the winning team. The losers repeatedly worked the ball down the field only to lose it when within scoring distance. For the winners Desenberg was the outstanding player on the defense while Goldhammer and Mayer lead the assault. The offense of the Alpha Sigma Phi team was very strong but the forward wall of the winners pierced the defense on. too many oc-- casions. Permanent Site Is Located For Stuffed Mascot "Biff", the stuffed wolverine, mas- cot of Michigan's teams, has been placed in the center of the lobby of the newly-decorated Administration building, which will be his permanent location. Trophies are also being placed in the new cases on each side of the lobby. The wolverine, which is now stuffed, was trapped by the Hudson Bay com- pany in the far. North almost a year after the request for one had been made by the Athletic association. However, he" isa a perfect specimen of a full-grown male. The wolverine is now extinct in the state of Michigan. Grange is described as modest and retiring. . . .
