All those living west of the Mississippi are University Tries To Check Thefts In an effort to check overcoat thefts the University is offering a re-1 ward of $100 for information which 1 will lead to the arrest and convic- 'tion of any person stealing overcoats! or other property from University buildings. This word was issued at ,the office of Secretary Shirley W. Smith. Coat thefts this year have already; numbered 18. Last year more than ,200 were taken in the course of the year, most of the coats coming from the Medical and Law buildings. "Student co-operation is necessaryl if this practice of thieving is to be curbed," Assistant Secretary Pauli Buckley said in issuing an apfpeal that students report immediately "to both ity pol iceand the Secretary's oice in University hall, an attempt on the part of any person to sell a used overcoat." University authorities al- so asked that students keep closer watch over their wraps.
