11ton, and Hlamilton's Influence Upon Washigton" on Wednesday, February

Extra Hours Commiiittee:
All requests for extra hours have been acted upon b iy the Commit tee
and card notices have been sent out to all petitioners, anl should be received
within a day or two. If by any error a petitioner does not receive such notice
either of denial or grant, or a summons for consultation, he should make

Alpha Omega Alpha Lecture:
Dr. Frederick A. Coler, of the department of surgery, wil give the se-
end lecture in the Alpha Omega Alpha series of lectures on Medical History,
in the West Amphitheatre. of the Medical Buiding, at 7:30 o'clock, Wedes-
day evening, February 18th. The subject will be "Surgery of the Dark Ages."
The lecture will be illustrated with lantern slides. While this lecture course
was Instituted primarily for medical students, pre-medical students and the
general public are invited to attend.

To All Engineers:
The motion picture entitled "Power" will e shown in the Natural
Science Auditorium, "Thursday, Feb. 19, at 7:30 P. M. It is an iteresting
and non-technical stoy of the progress man has made in the development
of power from all sources, including some of the large power plants built
by Stone and Webster .Inc. This film: is shown by the U. of M. Engineering

Freshmen Engineering Class:
The regular weekly assembly will be held Wednesday, February .1, at

The new secton of French 153 (Advanced Composition) will meet Mon-

Last year the Michigan Bell Telex
p hone Company's expansion was
one of the greatest in Michigan's
telephone history--and that program
is being continued.
108,984 miles of new telephone wires
were installed during 1923; 98,501 miles
to give additional local service; 10,483
miles of toll and long distance wires.
1,110,369 miles of wire now connect
the telephones of this-Company's
subscribers.
96,805 new telephones were connected
with the switchboards of this Company,
for a net gain of 36,1x17, during 1923;,
49,686 were added through the purchase
of another company, both factors greatly
increasing the value of the service to
every telephone user in Michigan.
More than 437,000 telephones areserved
by this Company over its own switch-
boards; its connecting companies in
Michgan serve 112,049 more; 14,000,-.
000 others can be reached elsewhere in,
the country. $10,320,380 represents the
total increase of telephone plant mpade
by this Company in Michigan last year.
And an organization of 10,2719 loyal
telephone workers now serves Mich,
igan. It is their unanimous desire to
