There will be a conference of the Deans Wednesday, April 1, 1925i, at 10
A. M., in the President's office., A. It. Lloyd.
Smoking in University Buidings:
The attention of all concerned is called to the fact that rules of the
Regents, based on regulationsf of fire insurance companies, specifically pro-
hibit smoking in University buildings except private offices or laboratories
and assigned smoking rooms. The rule is of particular importance in the
case of inflammable buildings like old University Hall, and its wings, the
Museum, the Law Building, and, others. The rule is posted in all buildings.
The cooperation of all, both Faculty and studefits, is asked toward the strict
and literal enforcement- of this rule. The rule covers bringing into or carry-
ing through hallways, any lighted cigars, pipes, or cigarettes.

Postponement, Dean's Advisory Committee, College of Literature, Science
and the Arts:
The Committee meeting has been postponed until Friday, April 3, at 4
P. M. John R. Effinger.
University Women--House Presidents:
Signing-out slips for March are due before April 10th in the office of the
Dean of Women.

Atkinson Contest:
All contestants who wish to submit orations for the Atkinson Memorial
contest are requested to inform mne of that. intention by April 3. Orations
must be submitted by April 21. All contestants entering an oration will be
given a, chance to deliver it. From the tryouts, five contestants will be
chosen to compete in the final contest for whch fifty dollars and a gold
medial will be awarded for first place with a prize of twenty-five dollars
for second place. Orations will be on the general subject, ":Moral and
Spiritual Character for World Citizenship," and will be 1800 words in length.
