Prof. Louis Krjnski of the mathe-a
matics department will speak at 8d
o'clock tonight in_ the Natural Sci-d
ence auditorium on "Mapping the '
Great Lakes." His lecture is the
third and last on the course which
is held under the auspices of the Sig-
nia Xi and Junior research societies.
Professor Karpinski will use the
earlier maps of this region to trace
the development of knowledge con-
cerning the Great Lakes. For illus-
trations of his lecture, he will take
cxamples of erly map mnaking, some'
of which aro from the collection in
the William L. Clement's library and
others from his own map and atlas
collection'
Prof. S. Lawrence Biglow of the
physical -chemistry department andj
Prof. Howard B. Iewis of the physi-
ological chiemistry departm ant have
already given lectues on this series.
Professor; Bigelow spoke on "Atoms"
while Professor Lewis talked on "In-
su lin."'
