COPELAND TO SPEAK
Dr. Eliza M. Mosher, '75M, first dean
of women at the University of Mich-
igan, will be honored by a dinner to-
morrow night at the Hotel Roosevelt
in Brooklyn, N. Y.
According to the committee inj
charge, the proportions of the occas-.
ion have far exceeded in eery way
the original expectations. It is an-
ticipated that several hundred persons
wvill attenr the dinner. Among the var-
ious organizations who are taking
tables are the Brooklyn Chamber of
Commerce, the King's County Medical
Society, the American Posture league,
and Alumni Associations of various
universities who will decorate their
own tables in college colors.
The program includes the presenta-
tion by various speakers of Dr. 1Mosh-1
er's many interests and activities, to
which Dr. Mosher will respond. Amiong
tihe speakers will be Ilion. Royal S.
Copeland, Dr. Stephen Pilcher, Mr.
William Seaman Bainbridge, Mr. Hen-
ry Nobel, president of Vassar college.
and lHon. Arthur S. Somers, president
of the Brooklyn Chamber of Coin-


moerce. The name of James Rowland
Angell, '90, president of Yale univer-
sity appears on the committee.
Dr. Mosher will be presented lby a,
testimonial of intrinsic and lasting
value as well as a handsome portfolio
containing scores of letters of beau-
tiful tribute which have accumulated
during the arrangements for the
dinner. The May number of the
"Woman's Medical Journal" ,will be de-
voted entirely to Dr. Mosher and this
dinn er.

Mrs. Mallory's discussion group will
meet at 7:30 o'clock tonight in Lane
hall.
A meeting of the Finance committee
of the Y. W. C. A. will be held at 3
o'clock today in Newberry hall.
All freshmen who have not had an
opplortunity to try out for the pageant
may do so at 4 o'clock tomorrow, in
Sarah Caswell Angell hall.
Pi Lambda Theta will hold a busi-
ness meeting at 7:45 o'clock Wed-'
nesday in Room 231, Martha Cook.
All members are requested to be
present.
A business meeting of the garden
section of the Faculty Women's club
will be held at 3 o'clock tomorrow at
the clubhouse, 226 South Ingalls street.
All members of the executive board
of the W. A. A. will meet at 5 o'clock
tomorrow in B~arbour gymnasium.
Home-made candy will be on sale
today in the corridor of the Univer-
sity School of Music. The sale is
