A few days ago the coach announced he would take his outfielders out the end of this week, but now he has decided to sond the entire squad out on Ferry field. The coach does not intend to have batting practice outside today as this would be harmful to his hurlers, but lie plans on number of "pep" games, and all of the athletes will chase grounders or flies for two hours. Coach Fisher will issue the annual call for freshman baseball tryouts on Monday, March 30. Candidates for all positions will be expected to report at this time, and as usual Coach Mather wil 1ave charge ofthe year- lings. A number of first year men have been practicing for the past few weeks. The Varsity squad was short on catch- ers, and Coach Fisher is now using three yearling backstops. Molenda, who comes from Detroit! with an enviable record as hurler, has also practiced during th-e past week.
