Faculty, Coilege of Literature, Science, and the Arts :
Cards are being prepared, and will soon be distributed, for the report-
ing of absences under the plan recently adopted by the faculty.
'Meanwhile, instructors are requested to use the old blanks,, and to re-
port to my office, through the Dean's messenger service, students who have
been absent three consecutive times, and others whose absences have been

Forestry Lecture :
Mr. Raphael Zon, Director of the Lake States Forest E'xperiment Sta-
tioni, will give his lecture on The Forest as a Plant Community" on Thurs-
day, March 12, in Room F214. This is the lecture that was scheduled for
last Tuesdayr but bad to be' postponed. E~veryone interested is invited to

The Round Table Club announces a public lecture by Dr. Scott Nearing
of New York City, formerly professor of economics in the University of
Pennsylvania and now lecturer in the Rand School for Social Research, on
the topic "Ecoiomlc Chaos and the" Way Out" Thursday afternoon at 4:15
in the Natural Science-Auditorium. There will he a small admission charged
