On the reserve team_ Weber, Hoff-
man, and Garber will undoubtedly be
the greatest menace to the first year
men. Weber is a dangerous line
plunger, and should give a good ex-
hibition of line plunging in today's
game. The reserve line possesses
three heavy line men in Jones, Baer,
and Goldstein, who are expected to
stop the plunging attack of the fresh-
men.
The reserves will probably rely on
4Vcber to do the plunging and the
forward passing. In the scrimmages
this fall Coach Fisher's, men have
shown power in the aerial route, and
are expected to use the forward pass
this afternoon. Ferenz and Charter,
two end candidates, will be on the
receiving end of the forward pass at-
tack.
Hoffman and Garber are two back-
field men who possess -lower in
skirting the ends and will probably
cause some worry to Coach Mather's
ends.
Iowa City, Ia., Nov. 19.-The varsity
cross country team was tied in the
race here held over the new course
Monday by the first year men. Cap-
tain Phelps, of the varsity, finished.
an easy winner, but the -freshmen
managed to garner enough points in
the remaining places to tie the reg-
ulars.
