Many difficulties are being faced as the enrollment is the largest that the College of Architecture has ever had. Classes in free hand drawing, which normally have about 18 or 20 students, I have more than 30 in some instances.l I Extra instructors have been hired this fall but the increase in students is so great that more arrangements must yet be made. An attempt is being made to diminish the size of classes so that the standard of work will re main as high as usual. The architectural college of the Uni- versity iT one of the largest in the country. It is part of the program of those in charge to yearly secure some noted architect, such as Eliel Saarinen of Helsingfors, Finland, to act as visiting professor for a year or more.
