prize for the presonl year is to be0
awarded to some junior or, senior stil-
dent in thea(departmen t for an ori-
ginal essay in thloe ociological field.j
This prize is given by Mr. Kroin of
Iron River, Michigan, in memory1 of
his daughter, Pita Ki~om, '2^, whot
was killed in an automobile accident
in the summ ner of 1923. Mr. Krbmn
presented the University with $1,000,
the income of which is to constitute 1
a prize each year.
