Feminine Interest Now Centers in the Event of the Season The 1924 J-Hop! The 1924 j-Hop will quite out-shine all other social events of the season; Feminine interest from now on, until that eventful eve, will center in who is going Qnd what they are going to wear! Each popular maid who is bid for the Hop will immediately set out lo find a costume that will be worthy the affair.' Her Gown for the Hop Must Be a Brilliant Affair! Evening gowns in colors dainty enough to be worthy a place in a beautiful flower garden have been selected for the Hop display. Crisp taffetas fashioned in boufount style, adorned with silver or gold lace, clinging georgette gowns that sparkle with rhinestones,,and the very stylish metal cloth frocks are ready for those who will dance at the Hop! Flower Ornaments Adorn Her Frock "She Wore a Wreath of Roses" But that day was long ago and roses now are out of date. At the J-Hop, if she keeps abreast of fashion, she will wear a cir- clet of silver flowers or a band of flower clusters. Her Slippers Will Be Brocade She will dance merrily at the Hop in silver brocade pumps. She may choose the ones with Louis heels or the ones with block heels: and a fancy cut-out at the side.. A Dainty 'Kerchief She'll Pin to Her Shoulder She'll pin a fancy 'kerchief to her right shoulder in true French fashion and be among the first to follow Madame Renee's fad. Fine Hose She'll Wear Her hos will be of the finest, silver or go'd to match her gown or perhapi black chiffon or black silk with Paris clocks. Wide Ribbon for Frock or Hair Wide metal ribbons are used for the ultramodish hair bands as well as for the bodice of gowns. Narrow ribbons for straps are found here, too. Silver Tissue May Be Needed Silver tissue in delicate shades are used for the foundation of lovely evening gowns, 36-inch wide siver and gold laces, nar- row lace and banding to match help in making the gown. Long Cloves She'll Need Of course she must have a pair of long kid gloves to wear to the Hop. Probably white, but may- be black if her gown is of a dark hue. Sparkling Combs Will be at the Hop Fancy combs that sparkle and glisten with bright stones will be quite the vogue at the 1924 Hop. Spanish Lace Scarves Are Vogue A Spanish lace scarf in an ap- propriate color may be worn about the shoulders as a part of the Hop costume. lf iMany asgown owes its success to the trimming and so it is with an evening gown. A corsacge of harmonizing colored flowers, a silver flower, or a cluster of buds will add immensely to the effect of the frock.
