University Senate:
The four statedl meetings of the University Senate during the year will
occur on November 19, January 14, March 17, and May 19.

Senate Council:
The first meeting of the Senate Council for the year will be held on
Monday, October 8, at 4:15 p. m. in the President's office. . -

Law School Lectures on Jurisprudence, by Sir Paul Vinogradoff:
Sir Paul Vinogradoff, F. B. A., Corpus Professor of Jurisprudence in the
University of Oxford, will begin a course of lectures on Jurisprudence on
Monday, October 1, at 4 P. M., in Room G in the Law Building. This lec-
ture will be :open to the university public.
The series will be continued on Wednesday, October 3, at 4 P. M., in
Room G in the Law Building. It will be necessary to limit attendance,
upon all but the first lecture, to those students of law and political science
who hkve elected the course. After the first lecture all lectures will be in
Room G, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, at the hour above stated.
Students are strongly urged to read Vinogradoff's Introduction to Historic
cal Jurisprudence. Copies will be on sale at the book stores early next

Schedule blanks have been placed in the messenger boxes. Will in-

Medical Faculty:
The next regular Medical Faculty Meeting will be held Monday, October
1st, at 8:00 P. M. in the Faculty Room, Medical Building.

Mr. Dow's section of French 13a, MF at 9:00, will meet, beginning Mon-

Men's Educational Club:
The first meeting of the Men's Educational Club will be held Monday eve-
ning, October 1st, at 7:30 P. M., in room 302, Michigan Union. All men tak-
ing courses in Education are invited to attend this meeting.

Kindling Wood:
Kindling wood may be had for the hauling at the new Administration
4building, University Hospital, while it lasts. Inquire of man in charge of
the job. Buildings and Grounds Dept.
Campus Guides:
Junior and senior men who wish to apply for positions as campus
guides for the coming year should see Mr. Angell in the office of the Dean
of Students some time Monday morning. These men will make out a sched-
ule of hours during which they are likely to be available for duty. The
pay is 40 cents an hour while engaged in guiding. J. A. Bursley.
University Symphony Orchestra:
Tryouts for the University Symphony Orchestra will be held at the
University School of Music, Maynard Street, Tuesday and Wednesday eve-
nings of this week, between 7 and 8. Candidates should bring some music
with which they are familiar. Freshmen are eligible, as are also women.
Among violinists, only experienced players should apply.

A change in the pulpit for today was
necessitated when the Rev. Leonard
G. Bart, pastor of the First Presby-
terian Church was Balled out of town
yesterday by the illness of his wife's
father. The services at 10:30 o'clock
will be conducted by the Rev. E.
