There will be a meeting of the Mathematics Staff of the College of Lit-
erature, Science, and the Arts on Thursday, November 8th at 4 p. in. in
Room 110, Tappan Hall. J. L. Markley.
Electrical Engineering 2A:
Thursday afternoon, Mr. Miller's group will meet at 1 p. m. Mr. Bull's
group will meet at 3 p. m. A. L. Miller, H. S. Bull.
Students in the Spanish Department:
The first lecture to be given by La Sociedad Hispanica will be given
this evening in Room 203 Tappan Hall at 7:30 p. m. The subject will be
"Mexico After 16 Years" and will be delivered in Spanish.

Alpha Nu:
Our meeting will be held at 7:30 this evening in our rooms in University
Hall. The question for debate will be resolved: "that the University build-
ings should be open to the free discussion of all scholarly subjects." Visit-
ors may speak for two minutes each on this subject.

Mummers Society is ,to present a one-act play at the Friday afternoon
party, Nov. 9, at Sarah Caswell Angell Hall. Dancing and refreshments in
Barbour Gymnasium will follow the play. Music by a five piece Michigan
Union orchestra. All girls are cordially invited.

All women students interested in forming a Women's Education Club

Gun and Blade Club:
A smoker will be enjoyed at 7:30, Thursday evening, November 8, at
Lane Hall. All trainees of the United States Veterans Bureau on the cam-
pus are invited. Graduates who have belonged are honorary members and

Players Club-Tryouts:
Tryouts for Players Club's next presentation on December 12th will
be held Thursday November 8th from 4:00 to 6:00 o'clock in Room 205 Mason
Hall. "Tickless Time" a one-act play by Susan Glaspell and George Cram
Cook, and one other one-act play, the title to be announced, will be given.
All members and others interested are cordially invited to try out at' this
time. Non-members may apply for membership -at the same timethey try

Leamington, Eng., Nov. 7. - The
Countess of Warwick, Socialist, open-
ed her campaign for Parliament at a
fashionably attended nieet/ng. She
wore a beautiful black satin dress, fine
