Norman, Okla., Feb. 20.-As a result
of a rapid succession of fireworks,
commencing with a trial and convic-I
tion by the student council on a, charge
of cribbing, and culminating in an as-
sault by -the accused student on the
council president, Bernard Hammert,
captain of Oklahoma's 1923 grid team,
has been expedled from the university.
At the same time another.student,
also convicted ,of cribbing was sus-
pended for the remainder of-the. se-
nester. Two women students who j
were convicted of the same offense at
the same time, protested the decision,
and . were later exonerated of all
charges against them.
Dr. Louis M. Warfield of the Medi-
cal school has been called to Mil-
wvaukee, where he will gipe advice in
a medical case there. He was sum-
moned yesterday to the Wisconsin
city and is expected to return to
Ann Arbor the latter part of the
1week.
