Arrangements are practically com-
pleted, it was announced last night,
for the broadcasting of simultaneous
results of the baseball game and 0-
lympic trials to take place Saturday!

from station WCBC of the electrical'
engineering department.{
Beginning shortly after 2 o'clock
Saturday afternoon The Daily will
begin the program with the results of
the Olympic trials held the previous
afternoon. Following this direct wires
to Ferry field will carry simultaneous
reports on every detail of the Wis-
consin-Michigan game to the 'station
from which it will be immediately re-
layed to every part of the country.
Officials of the various organiza-,
tions having men entered in the Olym-+
pics here will be notified within thel
next two days of the broadcasting so
that they may pick up the first re-,
ports as sent out from WCBC.
Station WCBC has been forced to
suspend broadcasting during the past
wek and will probably not go on
the air again before the big program
Saturday. This will be the second;
detailed and simultaneous broadcast-
ing of a baseball game handled by
the University radio and The Daily.
Lewis Holland, grad., will be in
charge of the operation of the plant
Saturday.
It is in radio frequency amplifica-
tion that the "C" battery does the,
most good. Care should be taken to
get the correct voltage for the type;
of tube and voltage of "B" battery.
When using tubes of the type UV 201-'
A, C 3011A, UV199, or C 299, the fol-
lowing "C" battery voltages are cor-
rect. .5 to 1 volt for a 40-volt "B"
battery; 3 to 4.5 volts for 80 volts
of "B" battery; and 4.5 to 6 volts for
100 volts of "B" battery.
