Fntries have been received from
Imore than 50 schools to (date, andl the
list is not yet complete, as prep in-
stitutions are being heard from dailyI
with regard to the meot.
According to the class of competi-
tors entered, several of the standing
records for the Ferry field event will
be (destined to f Il. Thels record ot
50 feel, 3 inches in the shot is especi-
ally likely to be shattered, as John
Kuck, an. entry from Wilson, Kansas,i
put the 12 pound weight 56 feet, 8 in-a
ches last wveek. Hie imade a mark oft
1over 53. feet in the event at the Stagg
meet last year at Chicago. Carlson:,
of Detroit Northw estern, is also an
excellent weight mlan. "
Perhaps the mocst interesting entry
list is that of the Cedar Rapids, Ia.,
team. Cuhel is the outstanding star !-
of the Cornhusker aiggregation. InI
'the Iowa Interscholasties Saturday, lie
'won three events in record time in
spite of the -fact that he was forced to
run heats in all 'three. He took the
120 yard high hurdles in 15, 3-10 see-
onds, the 228. yard lows in 24 3-10, and
the 100 yard dash in 10 seconds flat,.
IHlis teammate, Loftus, will: give all'
entries in the 440 yard dash a race,
he having a record of 50 4-10 secondIs
in the event. Cuhel and Loftus will
team up with Murrill and Stamato ini
the half mile relay. Cuhel, Loftus,
Knapp, Heuly ran the distance in
.1:33 5-10 at Madison recently, but;
3-10 of a second slower'than the Mielhi-
,an record. The 440 team set, a world-
s record of 4 ~8-10 secondls in thde
