ON Delegates from the University to the eighth national convention of the Young Women's Christian association which is now in session in New York City, report that a gift of more than $1,000,000 was received to cover the accumulated liability of the secretarial retirement fund, from the Laura Spel- man fund of the Rockefeller founda- tion. Among other action which has been taken at the convention was the adop- tion of the proposed amendment to the constitution effecting the selection of convention delegates. Instead of se- lectinig delegates on the membership basis, as is done at the present time delegates will be chosen on a basis of one for every hundred voting members up to 500. Above that it was suggest- ed that there should be one addition- al delegate for every 200, until the .representation) Lreaches ten. Those having more than 1,500 voting mem- hers should be entitled to one for ev- ery additional 500, until the delegationj reaches 15. The delegates from the University, were: Mrs. Carl G.
