Engineering Stu ents:
There is~ an opportunity for two unor engineering students to ped
two weeks upon a vessel of the U. S. Navy for the purpose of 'studying en-
gineering installations. Students who are selected to make the cruise will
be assigned to positions in the ship's organization. The cruises will -prob-
ably take place between July 1 and July 15. It will be necessary for the
students selected to meet the expenses of the transportation to and from
the ship and approximately $1.50 a day while on board ship. Those who ar
interested are requested to consult Professor I C. Sadler, IHead of the De-
partment of Marine Engineering and Naval Architecture. I. L. Bron.

There will be a special meeting of the Senate Council on Thursday, Ap-

1. Resolved, That the making systemn be so amended that each hpur of
E grade shall yield no credit and negative one (-1) point. It is understood
that E, grade shall include, also, lapsed Incompletes and Absences from
Exainaton( as well as courses dropped without legal permission.
2. Resolved, That all entering students shall be considered as on trial
throughout their first semester of resideCe, and may be dismissed for not-
ably poor scholarship without further preliminary warning.
