BRUIPI WILL DIRECT ANNUAL PRODUCTION "If 'I were King," by . ustin McCar- thy, has been chosen by members of the Senior Girls' play committee as the most suitable play to be given by the women of the senior class during Commencement week, and tryouts for parts will be held at 4 o'clock on Tues- day and Wednesday, April 1 and 2, at Sarah CaswellI Angell hall. Prof.I John L. Brumm, who is to direct the production, asks that all tryouts come prepared to read some sh'ort selection. While it is not as yet definitely de- cided whether the play will be given indoors or outdoors general senti- ment seems to favor an inside product- ion, and if this can be satisfactorily managed, such will be the ease. A tax of 50 cents is to be assessed each senior woman in order to cover the initial expenses of the production. This is payable to Dorothy Greenwald at any time. Black and white panels will be hung on the walls with a corresponding note in the centerpieces on the tables. In contrast, bright colored paper parrots pasted on the windows will match the candlesticks on the tables. The waitresses will wear wear black dress- es with white aprons and caps.
