MASONS GO AFTER
BUVILDING FUND
Thirty iteams,v comprising 240 Ma-
sons, will swing into action tomor-
row noon in an effort to raise $75,-
000 for the Masonic temple buiding
fund. Officers of the 'order were se-
lected as captains of the teams and
each man was given a district, usually
the one in which he is living.
The campaign will last three or
four days and wil be featured by
banquet each. night w ere reports
of theday's work will be"turned i
and the workers brought together.
If the goal is reached the obiga-
tions held by Ann Arbor baks will
be cancelled and work on the super-
structure of the building will be; com-
pleted without delay.
The new temple is. being built larg-
er than is necessary for the immed-
ate needs of Ann Arbor lodes. It
Is expected, however, that student Ma-
soanc organizations such as the De Mo-
lay and Craftsmen club will use the
temple for their activities as well.

More than 140 men from every sec-
tion of the country will take the grad-.
uate courses in highway engineering
which will commence tomorrow. This
is the largest number which has ever
come to Michigan for this purpose,
and every available inch of the pres-
ent headquarters of the department
of highway engineering and highway
transport is being utilized to accomo-
date the increased number of stu-
dents.
The 1922-23 fellows in highway en-
gineering, as appointed at the No-
vember meeting of the board of re-
gents, are Roy. D. Chapin, of Detroit,
Major Mark L. Ireland, of 'the high-
way transport and quartermaster
