The cam- pus has been plotted out into sorority, league house and dormitory districts and each captain will be responsible for a certain number of these. Yellow tags will be given out to the girls who subscribe during the next three days and those who pledged member- ship last year will receive blue ones. Those who have made pledges but' have not as yet paid for them are asked -to do so as soon as possible. - I -t is planned that a chart will be erected in some -prominent place on' the campus to indicate the progress that is made from day to day and when the drive has come, to a close a com- parative list, showing the response of the various houses will be made out. Each house should strive for a one hundred percent record. There will- be booths both in the li- brary and in West hall from Monday until Wednesday where girls may sign and pay their pledges. in the interests of - the League. Both Michigan women and wives cf Michi- gan men were present. The "Gaily": says, "Mrs. Holbrook spoke in.a clear: and convincing way of the object of the organization, with the result .that all present had the conviction strongr within them that the League building Iwill be built within the live years al]- lowed by the Regents of the Univer-. sity of Michigan, a-nd that to work for such a building as is proposed by Michigan. alumnae, will be a privi- lege and not a hardship." The high price of silk hosiery since the war has presented a serious prob- lem to the University women. Mem- bers of the dormitory have looked in- to this matter and came to the con- clusion that by getting the hosiery in large orders and selling it for slightly above the wholesale price, a saving would be effected for the girls and it would also help to increase the fund which the dormitory is 1raising as its contribution to the League for this year . . Sell Hosiery by the Box The hose which Martha Cook is sell- ing is manufactured by the RaiH Host- ery company of Indianapolis and is a fashioned hose of a high grade of silk and is fully guaranteed. It comes in six different shades including the standard black and white and is sold for the sum of $5.00 for four pairs. Arrangemnts have been made whereby several girls may club to- gether in the purchase of a box. All -the different sizes and colors may be had in one box. Orders taken now will be delivered in time for the Christmas season. Those in charge of the sale have announced that should the hose be desired as Christmas gifts they will be done up in holiday packages oi request. Gertrude Stratbucker, '23, is the chairman in charge of the sale and together with a corps of workers from the Martha Cook building will make a thorough canvas of all league houses,'' - sororities and residence halls on the campus. Any persons who are not reached in this way may get in touch + with the chairman by calling 627. 'Note Book Paper Sold Another project which theresidents of this dormitory have instituted is the selling of note book paper. The local represntative of the Chicago Paper . company has put the proposition be-- fore the girls whereby they may se- cure the paper in all desirable sizes and dispose of it at a nominal price, thus further swelling their growing fund for the League.
