THE MICHIGAN DAIL-t t _ .. Student Needed In Misi:onWork "Every college has students who would make successful missionaries. Missionary work seems only a vague conception to most young people, but once in it's the most real work Imag- inable," according to Miss Ruth Roche, traveling secretary of the Student vol- unteers. Since her graduation from Wellesley college in 1920, she has been engaged in volunteer work. Next summer she intends to go to East Persia. There, under the auspices of the Presbyter- ian board, Miss Roche will help in the work of educating Persian women in their new college. "It is up to the college women to be Interested in carrying oan foreign work because there is a demand for college trained women In almost all branches of mission work," she stated. Miss Roche says that in many col- leges there are large groups of Student volunteers for whom she has been clearing up the somewhat vague ideas of her work by answering questions and explaining just what fields there are for trained missionaries. 4:30 to 5:30 o'clock on Mondays and Thursdays to give information in re- gard to the association to all girls de- siring it.
