Fire Hydrants Repaired Several fire hydrants about the campus froze in the past week due to leaking and corroded valves. Repairs were made immediately and the hy- drants thawed out, all of them now being ready for use again in case of need. Immel, of the oratory department, was re-elected treasurer of the associa- ton, which includes the business man- agership of the Quarterly Journal of Speech Education. Prof. G. N. Merry, of the University of Iowa, who is well known here, was elected president, and Prof. Thomas C. Trueblood acted as one of the presiding officers. George Wilner, John Hathaway and P. H. Scott, instructors in public speaking here, were also in attendance at the convention.
