SUNDAT, DECEMBER 11, 1921 THE MICHIGAN DAILY PAGT -Theaters WUERTHI There is something so sweet, whole- some and interesting in the story of "Over The Hill" that the blase New Yorker, so particular and discriminat- ing in his. voice of theatrical enter- tainment, has seen fit to give it his steady patronage and unqualified en- thusiasm ever since it was first shown there in September, 1920. The theme of "Over The Hill,"I which is here all this week, is mother love, and the story is based upon the work of Will Carleton, the poet. Mary' Carr portrays the mother in a fashion that has caused much favorable com- ment. Brisk comedy, character-draw- ing, romance, good old-fashioned sen- timent, and drama all have their part in this beautiful and convincing story. ARCADE "A Trip to Paradise," Bert Lytell's newest vehicle for Metro is the fea- ture for Sunday and Monday. This is the screen adaptation of a Hun- garian drama by Franz Molnar. The locale of the American version has been changed from Hungary to Coney Island, where the leading character Curley Flynn, played by Bert Lytell is the barker in a sideshow called "A Trip to Paradise." It is the story of a man's regeneration through the love of a woman and the influense of a dream. \ SamriaRzdy and Doris Kenyon ina'scow fro, .thie PRaMmount Picture Get-RichQU-ick- Walling rd' ~A, osmopolita~n Production, The adventures of that inimitable pair-.
