SCORES FEATURE OF GAMES IN
INTERFRATERNITY COURT LEAGUES

Eleven games in interfraternity'
basketball played Thursday night were
featured in parti(ular by a 10 minute
overtime battle between Delta Sigma
Phi and Kappa Nu, the former final-
y winning, 17 to 16. Only two other
uontests approached this in being tight
battles, but one of these, the game
staged by Kappa Beta Psi and Delta
psilon-proved a heart-breaker. The
n.en from Oakland avenue downed the
D. U. aggregation, but only after *shot
* fter shotat the basket by both teams
had gone wild. The final score was 4
to 2. Sigma Alplha Epsilon upset thel
lope by their triumph over Lambda
Chi Alpha, finalists in last year's
ourney, by a 9 to 6 count, after one
of the hardest battles of the evening.
Sigma Chi gave eery evidence of
having one, of the best teams in the
entire eight leagues by scoring a sec-
9nd overwhelming victory, this time at
the expense of Chi Phi. They Sigs
3eemed to score almost at will, rolling
up a grand total of 38 points, and
'folding the opposition to but two.

Sigma Nu continued the promises of
power given in their :opening game
when they spilled Delta Tau Delta un-
derfoot, 12 to 3. Other games in-the,
Hill league resulted in a victory of
Phi Gamma Delta over Alpha Tau
Omega, 19 to 1, the A. T. 0. men put-
ting up a hard scrap, but being no
natch for their heavier and faster
opponents, and rAlpha Sigma Phi's
triumph over Phi Sigma Delta in a
hard fought game, 17 to 12.
Kappa Sigma took Phi Kappa Sigma
into camp, 18 to 3, Phi Delta Theta
achev'ed a well earned victory over'
Theta Chi, 11 to 8, Phi Sigma Kappa
had little difficulty in disposing of
Zeta% Psi, 15 to 6, and Psi Upsilon
downed Alpha Chi Rho by the narrow
margin of four points, winning 16 to
12.
Standings of the various fraternity
leagues, with schedules for the coming
week, will be published Sunday.

Wrestling Coach
Wants Nore Men
Coach Thorne is starting out his
squad of wrestlers with a course in
physical training, designed to give
them bodies fit for wrestling before
the actual work starts. Calisthenics,
mat work, and "bridging" are includ-
ed in the work outlined for the men
to perform during their workouts. It
is his intention to give the men
Christmas work, that is, something to
do at home, where probably they will
rave no access to a mat, to keepjtheir
necks in shape, as it is imperative that
a wrestler's neck be in perfect condi-
tion when he takes part in any bouts.
Not enough men are trying out.
Coach Thorne will be back next week
and is anxious to meet any men who
are in the least interested in wrestl-
ing, even if they are not interested in
joining the Varsity squad. He says no
one need be afraid of hard falls if
they are not good wrestlers, because, it
is his intention to start all new men
with easy work, and to give them new
holds gradually as their ability be-
comes more.
This year outside meets will be held.
Although the squad will probably not
break into the Conference this year,
it will hold meets with other places
such as M. A. C., Detroit, and Cincin-
nati.
